Missionary Fellowships (Monthly)
As a community of caring Christians we encourage fellowship is often as possible. Our missionary pastor will send out the monthly announcement along with any signup information needed a few weeks prior to each fellowship.
Men’s Prayer Meeting (Daily)
All men are invited to join the mae staff each morning, Monday through Friday, at 8:00 AM for a short time of coffee, fellowship, devotional, and prayer.
Lunch at Betty’s (Monthly)
Once a month our pastoral care team hosts an adult ladies’ luncheon at their home. An email will be sent out prior to the lunch to ask if you will be able to attend. Please note, this is for adults only, so you will need to make arrangements for your children in order to attend.
Other Informal Activities
Keep an eye on the message boards in the Family Center and your email as we often add more impromptu, less formal opportunities for fellowship. This may be an event, a park visit, or gathering around the firepit for singing and fellowship.
We have a partnership with Faithfull Farms, a small family farm located in Chapel Hill, NC. Howard Allen, a classically trained chef, specializes in chemical-free produce, including salad greens, herbs, and peppers, grown in high tunnels for year-round availability.
We have put together a resource highlighting some of the items grown in the greenhouse, including how to harvest, prep, and use each of the items.
Visit the Siloam Greenhouse Portal to learn more.

There is a trash dumpster and recycle dumpster located at the front of the campground. All TRASH must be in a bag and sealed but RECYCLABLES must be loose. DO NOT PLACE CARDBOARD in the trash hopper. We can be fined for that. We prefer that you break it down flat and place it in the recycle bin, or if you have several boxes add it to the burn pile located behind the shop.
The following items are to be recycled and placed in the recycle dumpster next to the trash dumpster. Failure to properly sort recycled items can result in a fine.
(Your refrigerator should have a sign with recycling information).
Recycling (WASH OUT & CRUSH EVERYTHING)
Please put these items in the recycle dumpster – do NOT bag:
- Cans (steel and aluminum)
- Water Bottles
- Glass
- Milk Jugs
- Plastic containers & bottles
- Cardboard – must break down all boxes and make them flat
- Paper
Do NOT put recyclables in:
- Plastic bags (like Walmart bags or even trash bags)
- Clam shells or Styrofoam containers (put in trash)
When moving out at the end of your stay, please do not throw large amounts of trash into the trash dumpster. Please check with the office if you have questions about disposal of your items.
Ants
The best way to keep ants away is to do the following:
- Keep dishes clean – dirty dishes attract ants
- Wipe countertops with a cleaner such as Lysol, diluted bleach, or vinegar and water after meals
- Keep all garbage in sealed plastic bags.
- Empty trash and recycling several times per week.
- Rinse out cans and other food containers prior to putting in trash or recycling bins.
