Service Projects
At Siloam Missionary Homes there is always something happening or needing to be done. As a nonprofit ministry we rely on volunteers to help us keep up the property. We are able to accomodate your students’ community service needs, youth group work days, Sunday School work days, and even week-long overnight work and camp retreats.
Something for Everyone
If you are interested in volunteering one time, coming regularly, or need to accumulate community service hours for your school these are the types of projects we have on a regular basis. Most of these do not require special skills or knowledge, just a willingness to serve.
- Mowing and weedeating
- Weeding and mulching
- Trimming bushes and small trees
- Painting and other small odd jobs
Special Projects
Every year we develop a list of special projects available to work teams of various sizes and skill levels. These projects are available as week-long retreat projects or as weekday or weekend projects. Typically work teams provide the funding for the materials for their project, but we do also have some labor-only projects. Here are a few of the current projects we have available.
- Shingle and Siding Replacement for Units E and I
- Reinforce the fire pit gazebo
- Pond and Dam Repairs
- Construction of Maintenance Addition and Unit I Addition
